The Leopard cat, Feline Bengalensis , is an elusive predator about the size of a domestic cat. Its stunning wild spotted coat makes it one of the most beautiful of all the wild cats .They are mainly found in forest or grassland and are excellent climbers and good swimmers. |

Leopard cats live throughout Asia , in the north they have a Grey/white pelt and can measure 3 feet nose to tail , whereas those in the south have a golden/brown pelt and are a smaller , about 2 feet in length. All are profusely spotted and a good example will also have rosettes, with dark rings on the tail and a lighter underside.

The Bengal cat comes from mating a wild Leopard cat to a domestic cat, thus giving us the beauty of the stunning Leopard cat coat combined with the gentleness of the domestic cat. The Bengal is both energetic and intelligent and can be trained to fetch a ball and walk on a harness and lead. |
